Queensland's Crime and Misconduct Commission has cleared a state government minister and her husband of any wrongdoing over alleged Labor vote rorting.
Liberal leader Bruce Flegg last month asked the CMC to investigate possible misconduct in the running of a Labor preselection for the marginal federal seat of Moreton.
The CMC looked at whether Environment Minister Lindy Nelson-Carr had engaged in official misconduct on the basis that she would have had knowledge of her husband's alleged activities.
Russell Carr was one of six Labor Party members disqualified from voting in the preselection ballot.
Mr Carr had changed his address from Townsville to Brisbane and was disqualified from voting in the preselection because he had not lived at his new residence for at least 12 months, as required under Labor's voting rules.
The CMC said it had made inquiries and found no reasonable suspicion of misconduct by the minister or Mr Carr and would not be taking any further action.
The watchdog also said allegations of electoral rorts did not fall under its jurisdiction.
"The CMC does not have any function in relation to ALP preselection rules and processes," it said
