 | Man questioned over pedestrian death
Police have questioned a Perth man over the death of a pedestrian who was dragged 80 metres under a car.
The 38-year-old pedestrian was killed near his home at Medina, in southern Perth, at 1.20am (WST) on Sunday.
Police believe the man may have been lying on the road before he was run over.
The driver stopped and sought help from neighbours but then returned to his car and drove off, leaving the body behind, police said.
Major Crash Investigators on Sunday night spoke with a 29-year-old man but no charges were laid, a police spokesman said.
"They are awaiting the results of post mortem reports and forensic analysis before they proceed with any further inquiries," the spokesman said.
The post mortem report will try to establish whether the victim was alive when he was hit by the car and whether he died as a result of his injuries.
Police investigators are also examining the 29-year-old man's car to determine if damage to the vehicle is consistent with the 38-year-old's injuries.
On Saturday, a 23-year-old man who had smoked cannabis and drunk bourbon died when his car hit a tree after overtaking another car at high speed on a blind bend, police said.
The two deaths are the only recorded on WA roads so far over the Easter weekend.
