 | Mackay Marina Run
The BMA Mackay Marina Run is back in 2011.
Events include the BMA Half Marathon, City Fitness 5km Fun Run, Clarion Hotel Corporate Challenge, Balance Podiatry 8km Race and The Daily Mercury 3km Junior Dash.
Runners and walkers, of all abilities, will be experiencing the fun and excitement of all that a premier running event has to offer on Sunday, 5 June 2011 when Mackay Road Runners host the annual Mackay Marina Run. The event is staged by the ocean at the Mackay Surf club and showcases some of the fantastic features of Mackay including the city, the river and world class Marina. It continues to grow in stature and has established itself as one of the ‘must do’ running events that regional Queensland has to offer.
Now is the time to choose an event, set a goal and start training.
Competitors have the opportunity to join local Rugby League legend, Shane Webcke, who will be attending and is rumored to be competing in the City Fitness 5km Fun Run. While it is a sporting event, competitors have the opportunity to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation.
The Mackay Marina Run attracts experienced running enthusiasts, however, the event also recognizes the role that exercise and fitness has on health outcomes, within the community, and is designed to attract first time competitors.
The event is marketed nationally in running magazines, tourist brochures and organizations that have linkages with QLD events and each year numbers participating from outside the region both within the State and interstate is growing. In 2010, over 1000 competitors took part in this prestigious event, including more than 100 interstate and international athletes.

Common misspelling of Accommodation
accom, accomadation, accomidation, accomodation, accomodations, accommadation, accommidation, accommodation, accommodations, acomadation, acomidation, acomodation, acommadation, acommidation, acommodation, accomdation, acoomodation
Agnes Water often called Agnes Waters and it is common for Lady Musgrave Island to be called Lady Musgrove Island and Captain Cook to Captian Cook and Capitan Cook or Captan Cook, with the Town of Seventeen Seventy now known as 1770 that would be hard to misspell for anyone. The correct spelling of Bundaburg Queensland, is Bundaberg. | | | | |
