Deni Ute Muster
Deni Ute Muster 28th & 29th Sept 2007. Each year, tens of thousands of people flock to Deniliquin, Southern NSW to celebrate all things Australian and to be a part of the world record breaking Deni Ute Muster. Around 20,000 party goers are expected again this year 28th & 29th Sept 2007, to witness the smashing of its own official Guinness World Record for the eighth year in a row.
1770 Festival - Southern Cross Cinema Outdooor Film
The 1770 Festival proudly presents the 'SOUTHERN CROSS CINEMA' outdoor film night on Thursday 24th May, under the stars, by the lagoon at Southern Cross Tourist Retreat (2694 Round Hill Road, Agnes Water). Several films will screen on the night, including feature film "Rats & Cats", Tropfest award winning short films as well local short films. Special guest MC on the night will be actor/scriptwriter Jason Gann, star of "Rats & Cats" and several TV shows including Channel 10's "The Wedge" and SBS TV's "Wilfred".
Queensland Bands Rock the 1770 Festival
This years 1770 FESTIVAL boasts a talented lineup of local Queensland artists on several stages, including bands from the region who have gone on to see success on national and overseas stages. On Saturday 26th May the Town of 1770 Foreshore parklands will see following acts grace the ‘Tree Bar Acoustic Stage’ at Air Sea Rescue Park, and the ‘Main Stage’ at Endeavour Park 1770.
1770 Festival Announces Program of Events
The annual 1770 FESTIVAL is back on – this year running over 4 days, from Thursday 24th May to Sunday 27th May. Held along the picturesque Town of 1770 foreshore, this will be the 17th year of the 1770 Festival celebrating the Birthplace of Queensland and commemorating the Endeavour landing when Lt. James Cook first came ashore on May 24th, in the year 1770.
Baffle Creek Fishing Challenge
The inaugural Baffle Creek Fishing Challenge will be held from 19-23 February 2007. Recreational fisherman, woman and children are invited to participate in the Baffle Creek fishing challenge, fishing, crabbing and having a good time over the week of the Baffle Creek fishing challenge, which culminates with a presentation on 24th February with trophies, prizes, seafood and drink from midday onwards.

The Reef to Beach Longboard Classic will be held on March 16-18 2007 at Agnes Water beach.
Surfers from around the world now attend, as it is renowned for it’s lay back atmosphere, and ‘A place where everyone still hoots when you get a good ride’, with surfing legends like Joe Larkim, Ray ‘The Godfather of soul surfing’ Gleeve, Doug ‘Claw’ Warbrick (Rip Curl), Mick Dooly Jai Lee, Peter (Classic Malibu) White, and not forgetting the famous ‘Rooster’, regularly attending.

Agnes Water often called Agnes Waters and it is common for Lady Musgrave Island to be called Lady Musgrove Island and Captain Cook to Captian Cook and Capitan Cook or Captan Cook, with the Town of Seventeen Seventy now known as 1770 that would be hard to misspell for anyone. The Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef runs along the Australian Queensland Coast, there are many towns from Central Queensland to Far North Queensland that offer Great Barrier Reef tours, such as fishing, scuba diving, snorkelling, cruises to Great Barrier Reef Islands, even Reef Walking and Surfing, some Islands on the Great Barrier Reef offer accommodation from Resort Style to Camping. The Southern End of the Great Barrier Reef begins from the Town of 1770 on the Queensland Discovery Coast, and extends North past Cairns, Port Douglas and Cook Town.
