Agnes Water Surf Life Saving Club has been patrolling Agnes Water Main Beach since 1990. New members are always welcome to keep the busy beach patrolled on weekends and public holidays.
A Junior Surf Life Saving Program (Nippers) is conducted by Agnes Water Surf Life Saving Club on Sunday mornings for 5 to 13 year olds. This is a fun program where participants are taught about surf safety and awareness, lifesaving and rescue skills surf sports skills and other life skills.
At present Agnes Water Club has approximately 50 Nippers (junior lifesavers) registered for its activities and is always open for more, how-ever the Club is desperately seeking more parents to become involved.
The Junior Activities Program normally runs for 2 hours each week and people can witness the activities first hand by popping down to Agnes Water Beach on a Sunday morning.
The Agnes Water Surf Life Saving Club is looking forward to the current 2006-07 Surf Life Saving Season being a very successful and productive one, and would like to thank the community of Agnes Water and 1770 for their support.
The Agnes Water Surf Life Saving Club provides a volunteer lifesaving beach patrol at Agnes Water Main Beach on weekends and public holidays from September to May each year.
The Agnes Water Club House facility is available for hire for functions, meetings and activities. Bookings can be made through the clubs Deputy President Steve Adamson on 4974 7602, or Tracee Lees on 4156 6666.
Keep your family safe at the beach.
If you are unsure of the beach surf conditions, or if stingers are present ask the lifesavers.
Read and obey all warning signs they are there to inform you of potential hazards.
Always swim with other people, children should always be accompanied by a competent adult.
Never swim under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or swim at night.
Always carry a small bottle of vinegar in your beach bag.
