Turkey Beach, is a lay back coastal fishing village on the Queensland Discovery Coast. The Turkey Beach township has a great deal of rustic charm that entices you to extend your stay, whether it be serious fishing and crabbing or just taking time to unwind and relax.
Situated within Rodds Harbour which is sheltered by Rodds Peninsula, the area is a Dugong sanctuary.
Access to Turkey Beach is from the Bruce Highway, just 10 kilometres north of Bororen. The 20 Kilometre road leading into Turkey Beach is sealed for the first 17 Km’s, the remaining 3 Km’s is well maintained gravel.
The town of Turkey Beach offers picnic shelters, BBQ’s, playground, public toilets with wheelchair access and a public boat ramp.
There are large areas of mangrove inlets, creeks and estuaries that provide for excellent fishing and crabbing.
