Turkey Beach, is a lay back coastal fishing village on the Queensland Discovery Coast. The Turkey Beach township has a great deal of rustic charm that entices you to extend your stay, whether it be serious fishing and crabbing or just taking time to unwind and relax.

Situated within Rodds Harbour which is sheltered by Rodds Peninsula, the area is a Dugong sanctuary.
Access to Turkey Beach is from the Bruce Highway, just 10 kilometres north of Bororen. The 20 Kilometre road leading into Turkey Beach is sealed for the first 17 Km’s, the remaining 3 Km’s is well maintained gravel.
The town of Turkey Beach offers picnic shelters, BBQ’s, playground, public toilets with wheelchair access and a public boat ramp.
There are large areas of mangrove inlets, creeks and estuaries that provide for excellent fishing and crabbing. Access to the reef and fishing areas is mainly by boat, there is a public boat ramp but no facilities for hiring a boat at this stage. Always check local conditions before venturing out on the water.
Extensive sandy beaches outside Rodds Harbour offer a wonderland for beachgoers. There is also a small tidal swimming enclosure near the boat ramp.
Turkey Beach has a Post Office, licensed kiosk and takeaway food outlet together with groceries, petrol, ice, LP gas and fishing supplies for your convenience.
Facilities for campers and caravans are under construction, however there are no facilities set aside at this stage. We will update when this facility is available or check with your nearest Tourist Information Centre for updates.
Nearby Pancake Creek is a wilderness park located in the lee of Bustard Head and is a popular anchorage haven for yachts and boats.
